Mahsa Amini

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

The western media mainly silent
What's going on right now is so violent
Protestors beaten and killed
Enough bodies to fill up a field
Humans have rights and will not yield
Government oppression
Trying to teach people a lesson
Mahsa Amini dead at 22
It sounds shocking what she went through
Beaten by the police
Will there ever be peace?
Tyrants want us all on our knees
I had to search for myself what was going on
Always something else the MSM wanna dwell upon
The real issues never get brought up
A poor girl's life is gone

important words for an important cause, dear Poet
the deafening silence of the west's
    and especially Hollywood's
    equal pay feminist
    'frontline' millionaire soldiers
    so dispiritingly defines
    modernity's, opportunistic activism
    fad!
while news is focused on traffic jams from impotent
    'no oil protests'...
(oh and now Afghanistan is under full sharia law...
    yet, I ask
how far back do we trace causality's malevolence
    back
to a failed Bush/Obama's 'dipped toes, war'
or way back to those wondering busybody's
    who introduced
Abraham's words to a war hero, looking to unite
    a land of tribal warlords
    who previously existed for millennia
without any cultural or governmental cohesion
    and thus devoid of their
    'necessary' armies as consequence..
    or a 'western progressive world'
    continually marginalising
and thus weaponised the rest of the world
    and insuring, those fertile lands
    remain a divided hunting ground
    for tyrants and morally bankrupt
    fools
    who wage wars, incite revolutions
    to dispose defunct rulers
only, to then become an even more veil reincarnation
    of those same rulers...
    but
before we can assume and judge
    how much
must we first, understand and comprehend?)
    cyclical, to say the least!

That's both sad and an outrage.
