I Once Said What Up 2 The Devil

Jerry Wayne Lawrence

Typical Night N The 'Hood. It Was Midnight On The Dot, No Lie.

I Was Cooling, Doing My Usual: Thinking 2 Myself & Strolling.

Catching The Usual Souls Hanging. Good Ol' Home: Cussing, Drinking, Smoking, & Every Other Thing.

Startling. Something Startling. A Deep Feeling That Comes & Goes.

"Nice." I Had 2 Admit 2 Myself Over The Strange Nu Cat Just Ahead Dressed N The Livest Night Gear U Could Ever C.

Cordiality Brought 4th My Usual, "What Up?" He Acknowledged Me Silently & Solidly & That Was That.

Afterthought, Hit Me, Suddenly. That Cat Is The Devil, I Realized. I Turned & He Was Gone.

Alone. I Felt Comfortably Alone As I Shrugged It Off & Continued My Strolling. Over & Over This Particular Night Will Get Me 2 Grinning, Why?, Because "I Once Said What Up 2 The Devil".
