Graces Of The Good

Tune: Melcombe

('New every morning is the love')

Psalm 37 v.22-27

********

For such as be blessed of the Lord

Shall inherit the earth, true word

And they that of Him curséd be

Shall be cut off, no goodness see

The steps of a good person be

Ordered by the Lord here freely

And good people they do delight

In His way and live in His light

Though they fall they shall not be cast

Down utterly, those times be past

When the Lord shall uphold them by

His hand, His Spirit, He them nigh

I have been young, and no am old

Yet have not seen, let it be told

The righteous forsaken, and nor

Their descendants as begging poor

The righteous are e'er merciful

And lend, and they do ddeds good full

Their descendants are blessed ,adn they

Too follow in in the Lord's way

Depart from evil, and good do

And dwell for evermore anew

In the earth, the land inherit

Serve the Lord whole-hearted each whit

were you a little tipsy on the old alter wine when you penned this one Mr. O

Yes lol. Though one time, less traditional, they use grape juice. Was I trying to poison them by preparing the 'wine' and using out of date grape juice?! They chucked it away, nipped to shop for a new carton, just in time to get back for Communion. It wouldn't have happened in more formal places. Doh!
