The Apartment

LibbyLane

Dark and dreary

This apartment always fueled my fury.

Until the moment you walked through the door

And the moments after

There was an amber hue.

The sun never shined through

Until there was you.

The smokey kitchen

The sun shining in

Here I find myself letting you in again.

I believe this was a rough time for me and you

But we found solace and gratitude.

I'm not sure what will come of this

Now that the apartment does not exist.

I'm no longer in that darkness.

So I don't see the amber hue

But I do see you.
