Rainy Season Sketch

Agus Sanjaya

rain hit the roof of the house
the strains are like serene jazz music
whisper in the ear to have a sweet dream soon

drought-stricken lands
already started to get wet, some even stagnant
The scent of petrichor is pleasing to the smell

while in the field
there are children enjoying the splash
no matter wet clothes, caught in the wind, or mother's scolding
The most important thing is dissolving boredom

but in another corner of the earth
some cursed the rainy season
as a sign of bad luck
when the river of life rises
mine boats will find it difficult to sail and are afraid of sinking
no more hunting for passengers
