wren

A murmur of a love letter graces my lips, tip-toeing over trembling hands

Like a long-forgotten flower tumbling loose from pressed pages

The memory of a hazy fragrance alights in the air

Every wish, a dedication

Every promise, unspoken anticipation

Starlight glints off of stained glass teeth

Shining hands outstretched in an open embrace

Face upturned to an ever-brilliant sky
