You Might Be Wrong

katerenazoe

I'm glad I didn't fall in love.
I can't imagine the pain.
You didn't break my heart,
but left a fracture that day.
You weren't "the one that got away."
You were my, "in another life, someday."

You say your heart is with another.
Explain to me the connection we had with each other.

You can't, can you?
Said it yourself,
"I feel like I've known you forever. How does that happen?!"

Here's the thing
We haven't though.
You gave your heart to someone
before I came along.

I can't help but think,
"You might be wrong..."

    really intriguing and well written
    thanks for sharing
"I feel like I've known you forever. How does that happen?!"
(seldom, do we want to realise
    even that which we memorise
    we forget, unknowingly
and so, it shouldn't be too much
    of a surprise
when those seemingly, close to us
    switch-up
life's plot and act like strangers
    we've never met before;
then our choices are few, but clear
    we can cling-on
or be appreciative of the fact
that we haven't wasted anymore time
    on their 'Dory' a$$)
    lol
