Song for Gene Malloy
Because I love his words so
very much
I chose to write some more
For a man ..
They all call Gene Malloy ..
Now maybe,
it had nothing to do with
the tone of his
voice, or the gentleness
of his old
fashioned and principled
ways, but more
to do with the sawdust and
pitch of his
poetry and candle wax or
the scent
of woodsmoke and sage ..
Tho’ I guess
it might just be his poetry
plus maybe
a drop or two of engine-oil
that got stuck
in the back of my throat
upon opening
yet another filled page ..

Dear Sir, (I do this all the time to big companies and Govt depts - are you either?)
I am unhappy with the quality of your product. I feel more instruction should be provided.
What was a futile search of both Google and Utube yielded no relevant results for Gene Malloyβ¦.and so onβ¦
Regards,
He uses a pen name ................. Internally Yours sir N π
Hi (may I call you Neville?)
The supply from you of the claimed pen name would ensure I could fully appreciate the sensitivity of tone of his voice, the gentleness of his old fashioned and principled ways, plus the sawdust and all that.
To deprive me of these would leave me bereft, anchorless, etc...etc...etc...
I look forward to your further attention.
Regards
this is inked, testament
to why only those truly invested
should ever pen, tributes
simply mesmeric in flow
melodious, in poetic eloquence
a great read!
thank you, Hyung
My sincere thanks are on the way to your door brother Mek, along with the cheque π
