Miles Apart

We are dreaming under the same stars,

Under the same sun and moon;

I gaze at the stars and close my eyes wishing

I'm going to see you soon.

 

Moving fast in own lives,

Miles apart we are;

The same sky and same stars say,

Not that far.

 

Having to be content

With simply hearing your voice,

And not reaching out to touch you

Nor having a choice.

 

Wish I could untangle the fabric and bring you close to me,

We don't have to say a goodbye;

Tearing away the distance we will meet, 

Like colliding stars in the distant sky.
