Choking
On a forbidden happiness
Suffocation
at what cost?
Coexisting with a false sensation
Of a release from the chains you wrapped
so tightly around yourself
Finally
free from the pain
Clean air has changed to a slap in the face
As you have gotten so used to
Inhaling not just the smoke
but also your pain
