After Death

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Where do we all go?
Is life some kind of sick reality show?
After death
Everyone wants to know
I believe the soul will continue
When the body lies dead
It floats up and out our head
Shall it travel above or below?
Do we become spiritual soldiers?
Or roam earth alone?
Segregation and division need to be gone
Will we ever merge all races and cultures?
And stand as one

Neatly put , those last three lines, Not sure, though how the afterlife (if any) relates. All this doesn't mean I dislike the poem, though.

Thanks, I guess I was just trying to think if we all actually come together after death instead of all the division and separation tactics pushed onto us while living.

I see that very well and thought it a great way to look at the toxic issue of our age (should have resolved this a long time ago).
But for me the afterlife(or not) is such a different issue, and worth thinking about in its own right....but not too much - let's focus on your last three lines....

It must be something to look forward to! After all the craziness we have put each other and ourselves through, it follows that a good turn is up and coming.
