Wasted Oil

Jaxxie

The fool with the oil lamp

Walked down the dreary road.

The flame flickered with the wind

The fuel dripping as he strode

The people still filled his lamp

From every bottle oil flowed.

Yet the fool wasted every drop

And soon the bottles were gone,

The fool's flame still was blazing

And glowed all night into dawn.

And when the fool dropped the lamp,

Onto the damp and rocky road,

The flame did stop it's burning,

And spilled the oil the fool was owed.
