Desk Top Fever

PoetVids - I am WriteBeLight only in Video Version :)

Is it the weather?
Or, is it just me?
Want to close my eyes,
Just sit here and be.

I feel just like I'm in,
The foggiest of fogs.
I think 3 cups of Java,
Most likely is the cause?

I usually drink more water,
Along with the caffeine.
It could just be Desk Top Fever,
The culprit, I'm thinking.

Ah, to sit in the Sun,
Soak up those rays.
Have a look of sun-kissed,
When, inside at my desk.

But, it's only mid-week,
Few more days to go.
Still feel like a good nap,
Would be the best approach.

Back to work I go,
Focus on the task at hand.
Sunshine out there beckons,
Quitting time at 5 sounds grand!

Oh how i agree that too much desk-work brings on the yawns and nothing is ventured until we get out of doors --- hoping by now you have de-toxed from that caffeine and are ready for more my friend.

For every substance (including water) there's a 'therapeutic window' and caffeine, for me is no exception :
Two shots of coffee from the machine is just right - less I'm weak and slothful, more and I'm trying to jump out of my skin...

    love your flow and yes
    sometimes having a window
to look out of and imagine
    while sat behind a desk
is more a burden than a blessing
    and then those fogs descend
    where your screen is blurred
and in place of a keyboard you see shovels...
    lol
    thanks for sharing, dear poet
