Camellias

Jerry Reynolds

Again clouds cover the sky. The threat of snow hangs overhead
like the sword of Damocles. Yesterdays-coffee, sweet to taste,
quickly chills in my mug. Rumbling on the furnace deletes the
chill in the apartment air. The smell of perfume lingering on
my fingers evokes a love story remembered. A tune softly played
in the theater of my heart.

camellias
sweet reminder
to winter
