Tune: Winchester Old

('While shepherds watched')

John 1 v.14-18

********

The Word, Jesus, was made flesh, dwelt

Midst us, His presence felt

He full human and full divine

With God's glory did shine

They who beheld Him in person

Did see Him, Christ the one

Saw His glory, sole begotten

Of the Father, [is] the Son

He full of truth and full of grace

John Baptist saw His face

And said, This is He, it sure be

He be greater than me

And of His fulness we all may

Receive of Him today

And of His grace, for see, the law

Was given by Moses sure

But grace and truth came by Jesus

Christ, He comes unto us

No one has seen God any time

Through life's ways and rhymes

But Christ, the only begotten

Son of the Father, one

He in and from the Father's heart

[The] Father to us imparts

I've always fount it possible to beat an egg, but but it is so much harder to beat a good Carol .. although to be honest, the bad ones appeal to me more ................ Neville 🙂

Thanks N. You beaten that egg yet? I'm beating the dust out of a rug! lol. And what's Carol's surname?

This time of the year is perfect for this write. Moses gave the law of an eye for an eye while Jesus fulfilled the law, no longer sacrifice but forgiveness and turning the other cheek. I'm for any sign of love. Nice job
