Sunset

GabrielThePoet

waves crash on the shore with the gentle breeze

the sun is setting over the beautiful seas

I wish I could freeze time right here with you

because it was right here when i knew

I wanted you

"the sunset is beautiful" you tell me

I wish i could see the color you see

but as long as your in the picture color explodes

as long as it's you all my problems unload

but now you're leaving

and I'm grieving

now the world is losing it's color

everything's duller

If only i could have been better

if i only never met her

things would've been better

goodbye my only source of color

there can't ever be another

hello colorblindness my old friend I'm back

A decent first offering on MPS and quite moving as well. There must be poems from colour challenged poets but it isn't compulsory to self-identify. Which makes it even deeper still.
