Flower & Love

Joakim Bergen

A flower grows

Burgeoned by the Dawn.

In the Garden of Eden

A flower blooms alone.

It dances with the Moonlight

It imbibes Heaven’s dew.

Mute, but it sings.

You can hear its song

Within your heart,

For this is not an ordinary flower;

It’s your flower

And it’s yours alone,

Just as the Rose

Was Little Prince’s betrothed.
