A Reflection Upon a Youth in Passing

A Reflection Upon a Youth in Passing

Oh’ how

I grieve the loss of function ..

Oh’ how

I mourn the loss of form ..

This

magnificent decline of mine

is so very

determined and unrelenting

although it

commenced, the very same

day I was born ..

Doh! Why bother we may say, if pessimistic. Why bother to be born, if we start to die from that day onwards?
There is more to it than that, positively, thankfully.
But I often remind KP of the negative aspect of this, to make her miserable. lol.

Just a thought after reading these few grieving lines Nev. - down through the ages ladies and some gents spent fortunes to by-pass signs of decline in shape and form - - yet beauty they say comes from inside not out and restores outer wrinkles to ageless glory - well methinks that's worth trying for someone who mourns passing youthdom. Oooh ( Hope this last word raises a smile ) ...............x

Ta Fay, and bless you too .. I feel like a teenager sometimes ........ but there aren't that many around these here parts .. as for this particular scribble of mine, I was writing on behalf of a friend .. maybe 🙂 x

(this that accursed duality of life
            we breathe in our demise
and blink forth to our end
            in every treasured moment
            alive...)
            but ending's can offer solace
            aside our laments and fear
            it's a question of perspective
            truly..
            (so knee-cracking relatable Hyung
promise me a seat at your table
            on that other side
            of that six feet divide
            and I'll promise to buy
            an eternity of drinks!)
cheer's, to a life bravely Lived dear Poet
            🍻😎
let's smile in defiance till that very last
            with one eye open
            and the other
lost within that embrace of remembrance
for why else did we strive to accumulate
all those sunrise and sunset, experiences
            in our lives!
            cheers 🍻
