Cause

PurpleGlasses

An Ignition of passion

Fueled by my flaws

They'll never define me

I burn with cause

Fierce is my fire

Relentless it's will

As I find myself

Standing here still

In defiance of fate

I stand up once more

To face every night

The repercussions ignored

Though circumstance leaves me shaken

My destination unclear

Yet my resolve is certain

Resurrection is near

My faith unbroken

I'm resting the urge

My strength restored

I will break the curse

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is kind of the part 2 to yesterdays piece (Lost). I was thinking of Naming it Found so it would be Lost(PT.1) and Found(PT.2) but I thought that was too cheesy. Plus, cause is more befitting imo. I wrote this when I felt better and more resilient.
