dorm room

coffee & cigs

my dorm room is big

desk, closet and plants

it gets cold at night

should i give it a chance?

i have a job in the city

i take the train to the office

the people are nice there

but i sometimes get nauseous

studies are going well

i get good grades at school

but what do they matter

if i can't share them with you?

i have a nice boyfriend

he is caring and kind

but it's been a year now

and you're still on my mind

i get up from bed

and i look in the mirror

the girl who looks back at me

she seems unfamiliar

as I examine her face

the girl counts to three

a question arises

will i ever be free?

You just reminded me of my good old dorm room, thanks for that.
