thirsty

evewilliams142

The first time I fell in love I was 15,

I'm not sure how long it took me to get back up.

He was my four walls,

My fireplace.

I poured myself into him as if I’d never thirst.

In return, I expected him to move mountains.

Capture the stars,

Follow me to every corner of the earth.

Most of all,

I expected him to fall too.

But I was alone when I awoke.

So very cold,

And so very thirsty.
