My Love Is...

Tim

My Love is….

Rather than rumble of thunder my love is the gentle familiar crunch of Autumn leaves beneath my feet,

Rather than the crashing of the oceans my love is the slow constant murmur of the brook that winds itself past the home where I live,

Rather than the roaring of lions my love is the soft snore of my cat curled at my feet,

Rather than the brilliance of a supernova my love is the glistening dust motes lit by the summer sun through my bedroom window,

My love is the steady dance of two planets separate yet together in a sweeping mutual orbit,

My love is the crossroads between two roads,

My love is where the sea joins the shore,

My love is the quiet patter of summer rain,

If you sit quietly with your eyes closed, you’ll feel my love like the soft sure warmth of the first April sunshine on your face,

My love is…
