Life For Show

A.C Doomcraft

Enter, take your shoes off, and make yourself at home, every couple feet a visual treat in our grandiose abode

We like to keep the mirrors buffed, reflecting fetching artifacts, accept a complimentary hamper, dont open, weve just had them wrapped.

Please dont pet the walking rug,
We've had the hide refurbished,
When it dies, id like it in the snug,
Once taxidermied.

Every inch of home an art piece,
Every movement is a dance,
Each room is an exhibit,
Each object is a chance,
To show how far we've risen,
Made something of ourselves,
Isn't life just beautiful,
When placed upon on a shelf.

We'll wheel out the best fine China,
Dining never looked so good,
No fingerprints on the service set,
For the sake of style weve scrapped the grub.

And the TV is for looking at, but never powered on,
Channeling only opulence,
Control without function.

All eyes and expectation,
Clicking cartelidge,
A comforting cope,
Mingling party guests
Dripping in artifice, statuettes, all friends for show.

Every inch of home an art piece,
Every movement is a dance,
Each room is an exhibit,
Each object is a chance,
To show how far we've risen,
Made something of ourselves,
Isn't life just pure perfection,
When placed upon on a shelf.

    or inked on a page
its just that, there's never enough ink
or words, to do it justice...
an intriguing read, thanks for sharing
