Beautiful Atheism

Beautiful Atheism

Soulless,  they say

Without a moral compass

To guide my judgment

And make me ‘good’

But there’s beauty in my atheism

Purity in my logic

Kindness in my deeds

And peace in my heart

My actions are my longevity

Holding a hand through personal hell

Wiping a tear

Listening intently

Supporting those who so desperately need it

Fiercely falling in love

Offering unwavering loyalty

To those who deserve it

These things are remembered

These deeds are cherished

And it is through these actions

That lives are touched

And when it’s time to close my eyes for the final time

My body will return to the ground

My energy will transfer

And a little springtime shoot will grow

Great to know you are a good person.
I'm not sure that your atheism made you that way.
Not all atheists are good people - take me (or rather don't!) for example....🙂

Definitely not. We all have autonomy over our own actions regardless of what we choose to guide us.
I just struggle with the narrative that if you don’t have faith you don’t have morality. I don’t find the two to be mutually exclusive.

For what it's worth, I think you should operate on the basis of your first proposition.
The second? Don't struggle. Ignore it. Rubbish propositions everywhere. Too much energy and time lost when you give them consideration.
