The Last Touch

himanshu_2001

the best touch is of the tender summer winds
with the love ticking in my chest,
morning was more golden when the light came through,
we'd stay in the meadow warmer than ever
trading our dreams more real than real
even for a moment,
dahlias would imagine the event of our after dreams,
a long magic second before we parted,
and in every parts
you would solve my contradictions
one at a time, slow and calm,
i wonder if we were predestined to unite
or maybe not,
maybe we were never supposed to meet,
but you came to me like a serendipity
when minimal were my hopes,
you gave me a reason,
a reason to smile as i watched you secretly,
you took me to countless realities
when i wanted to live thousand lives,
and in all those lives dear
I loved you!

  • Comment from author about the poem: I was standing on my balcony that night, when I looked upon the moon. That vision of hers unraveled all of my regrets disguised as hopes. I had to flow those overwhelming ideas of me into a paper, into an art which I'd look back someday to think I was a fool, and I had lived my life.
