If i couldn't have you as a mother
I could have you as a friend or advisor
When my hope fades away
This is what you could say
Rome wasn’t build in a day
If we could be born as strangers
We could just become neighbours
Just to tell each other of the rumors
Spread by our enemies, when you are away
I keep your house safe
If you couldn't give me a name
I could just cover the shame
Bringing wealth and fame
Since you are not to blame
If I could not come to this earth
I could become a guardian angel to your health
And ask God to prolong your breath
And fill your life with wealth
You could fill your house with warmth
If you were to leave
I could do anything to make you stay
Though you are not easily swayed
Stay with us each day, for
You are the best of me.
