If you're open to new ideas
You'll use your eraser more than your pencil
But you might just see the world as
More than just a utensil
If you're open to new ideas
You'll use your eraser more than your pencil
But you might just see the world as
More than just a utensil

Good write H.
(to me, it means
when you're open, to life
you quickly appreciate
redoing things, as part of the norm
so you learn, to rub out
your certainty's in life
with every other, shattered hope
of chance
or bruised heart,
you learn, we learn
to heed
that chaos of chance, embedded
in all our choices
and accept, however precise
our preparedness or belief
we must live life, devoid of outcome
as our gage to success
the journey itself
just like the erasing and re-editing
of a write
is rewarding enough, plenty
should we choose it to be
in any race of life, there's far too
few, medals
and so what
if fate, decides
we're not meant for that 1 percentile
ease of life
with our pencil's of hope
we can always, erase and try again
till that grain, in our sand of time
tips
and we too, can sigh in relief
taking pride
in a life, lived
giving it all we've got!)
a great write, thanks for sharing dear Poet
(forgive me if I've misunderstood
or hijacked the meaning to your wonderful work
I meant no disrespect)
Thank you so much for your well considered reply.
