Another Natural Wonder

Simply Marie

During a process of doing research in regards to natural wonders

The first item chose to a favorites list pops up with a photo of a rainbow

An unexpected image of something that I had just been writing about

To analyze how a thing feels rather than simply enjoying the moment

Like attempting to understand how a rainbow appears after a storm

I would only wish that unspoken enjoyment would now become the norm

The same in viewing Niagra Falls where words interfere with enjoyment

With tons of rushing water and lights to border along with our Canadian friends

As it seemed in my dreams as a child the best place to be when you are in love

Or if that is not possible I tell myself that I could still enjoy it on my own

Of all the times I've planned a trip this would never make the list

Whomever I may have spent time with it seemed never would quite fit

I thought about this place last year and how maybe I'd go alone

And now it seems there is someone else if he could only join

To watch the falls and stand in awe from the comfort of our room

A thing I think would fit the way I've felt about him all along

Just like a rainbow or any other wonder in which words should not describe

To attempt to fathom before experiencing would be a waste of time
