Not a day went by that I didn’t think about you.
I try so hard to be tough to keep myself from being hurt to.
It’s like I’m having a tug of war with my heart and mind.
It’s such a want for you to be mine.
I just can’t describe how I feel like it’ll never be. I’m just in high hopes that you’ll be free to live life in love with me before our lives end. Life is too short to live in fear. We just got to jump out and go all in. I’m in this with you but I feel alone. You have a mask on even at home. Remove that from your face and let me be your escape. I’ll hide in your arms if you open them up and bring the peace into my life.
Being near you calms my spirit. Even though it’s just a feeling. I love you more than words can ever say I pray one day we are in a better space.

- Comment from author about the poem: I was in a space where I hadn’t been in Contact with someone I cared about but we reconnected and I woke up still feeling a bit torn about the space we were in.
