Hopeful Smile

Gumuous

Hoping we all reach are destination,
this journey will be rigorous.
With many trials and tests ahead,
the key is salvation.
Doubting if are time is trial,
I hope you remember to smile.

Time is like a riverbed,
flowing with or without you.
Real enough to pursue,
like one whose never bled.
It's gifts are like scars,
yet wise suchlike the book of psalms.

Willing many are to be rashly,
not realizing that time is short.
Leaving buried forgotten treasures,
as nearing till a obscure finale.
Many find closure within,
dealing truths where they begin.

Struggling begins at birth,
as fragile like porcelain figurines,
Why though we with time,
do we lose such worth.
Going from whole to broken,
yet still miraculously working.

Forever is not a eternity,
just a feeling of time that's lost.
Since its feels unreachable,
it brings with it uncertainty.
While with the passing of time,
one will undoubtedly reach their prime.

This time around it feels real,
not willing to take the deal.
I struggle with the why,
but perhaps this is goodbye.
Not forever just for a while,
Hoping that I made you smile.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Time is a currency that can't be returned or gained. It is both invaluable and limited. Making it one of the most precious things we have access to.Yet the journey of life is like a rough road on a mountaintop with no view of the top.Just remember to smile on your journey to the summit.
