A Choice

J.Edse

To do what's right or wrong

which will you choose?

its not a hard choice

but you must have experience

to make the correct decision

you must ask

how do you know

how do I know?

what is correct

is it the honest

tongue in cheek

attitude

to go through life

being yanked

back and forth

back and forth

by someone

who is not your own

is it the will to fight?

in the wars?

against a government

who takes away your rights?

makes you addicted to their

falsehoods

lies

conditioning

shooting yourself

in the foot

blood running

flying a kite on a windy day

hoping for the bolt of lightning

pulling down your shorts

to placate your sanity

and declare victory

because that's all you've got

everyone

stops you in the street

pats you on the head

for following

those who are supposed to be followed

but do they question

what's right or wrong?
