When you're feeling weak,
I hope I'm the one you seek
When you really want to smile,
I hope I'm the one you dial
When you just need a break,
I hope I'm the honey to your sake
When you think it's all too much,
I hope I'm the one who's hand you clutch,
When you sense you have to forget,
By being there, I hope to repay my debt
When you're feeling sick,
Are as thin as a stick,
I hope I can clear your path of bricks
When you long to feel better,
I hope I can make it so with every letter
I hope, to happiness, I can be your tether
When you're drowning, thinking you were daft,
I hope I can be the one to throw you the raft
When you're feeling such,
I hope to be your crutch
And all this won't be near to enough
Cause you taught me to be tough,
To just laugh when things got rough
All this, cause I love you more than life
And, as you taught me,
More than any eternal escape from a knife.
