The last day

_m_ostwanted

Life sometimes moves fast

And most times, it's as slow as it could be

But everything known to man

Must surely come to an end.

The last day of everything!

It's the day humans reflect most on themselves

Thinking about the goals they couldn't achieve

Points the couldn't attain

Records they couldn't break

And several targets they couldn't meet.

Everything has its own time they say

As time is the most expensive luxury in the world

Being something you spend and never get back

Just as you don't know how much you have let

But the last day

Will make you think of everything that happened during their time

The sorrow, the tears, the pains, the joy,

The smile, the laugh, the happiness

And all you could account for

The last day made me once think of my existence

It came to me as a mirror

One I could not hide my flaws from

Neither do I had the chance of covering my scars

I did hid my pains behind a wide smile

But the last day uncovered that

As the last day of a thing is the end of it

For flowers wither at their last days

And humans die at their last days

Even sorrow and pain ends at their last days

For you have to raze the old to raise the new.

The last day of sorrow raises joy

And the last day of the year

Gives the hope of a new year ahead

Which allows you to reset your focus,

To re-aim your goals and attain the heights you desire

For when your last day comes

It won't be the last for everyone

So, make it count.
