The wish to change you

abbasptry

Can you imagine, the streets i am walking now alone, are the ones we walked together so long ago?

I could never change the colors of you

Like how i cant change the stream of life and how it flows

I cant

I am not the moon to summon your waters in and out of calmness and into insanity

I am not God to make whats unstoppable stoppable

And you are unmovable

A fixed star on my restless sky

And what i do is push the sun away

Try to prevent its light from breaking in the night and taking you away from me

And i try i try i try

But you

Are every reason for me to stay and also not a reason at all

Im a tree and you’re the sky i am stretching to reach

But oh my dearest belief

That too is inevitable to fail

For a tree can only grow so much

And the sky is always gonna change

Like you

The sky will change, and change and change.
