Silence Speaks

nitazalaram327

Through my mouth
Yes, I can't speak
For the freedom getting me sick
I think if I shout it all
Someone will be in sorrow

From the start I still keep silent
But things go wrong and violent
This human's rule is so unfair
'Cause I am small they don't care?

Telling the truth is not enough
I will just break my heart in half
If my silence will just speak
Maybe I won't be this weak.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Hi!, this is me again. This poem is about me and my loved ones relationship, cause most of the time I can't tell them what I feel so I just write it down to lessen the burden I feel. Thank you.

I could totally relate to what you tried to express through this poem and hope that you find someone who listens when your silence speaks 😍

Totally agree with your comments about writing lessening the burden. Keeping feelings bottled up inside may seem like a good idea at the time but ultimately leads to more anger and unhappiness.

      • nitazalaram327

Yes, writing is like a safe place for me to release my anger without harming anyone but hopefully someday I can talk to someone about my feelings too. Thank youπŸ™.

Not only in our families and other relationships we are silenced, but in society as well. No matter who they are, the young are claimed to be nothing, and they don't even care that we have a voice. As we have freedom of speech, we should be able to speak for what is right. Yet, especially for young girls, we live in times when we cannot say a thing, or we will face discrimination.

Yes, I hope there comes a time that our voice though we're young or old they'll hear us both in our families and society πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™. Thank you.
