I beg

Inkdeep

My head breaks,
My heart aches,
From thinking of,
All the bloody pain,
You endured silently,
Solely for my sake.

I always kept,
Thinking that,
Whatever you did,
Was because
You truly, honestly,
Wanted that.

It is now I know,
It is now I realise,
That all of your actions,
Were done simply,
Keeping me in mind;
Simply to have me satisfied.

I am so ashamed,
That I never took more time,
So that I could,
Look into your eyes to see,
The unsaid wailing,
Your pain for me.

I feel so shattered,
Now knowing that,
While I kept on praying,
For your happiness,
It was me and my love for you,
That kept you away from being true.

Love shouldn't be sacrifice,
At a phase or in a place where,
Nothing and no one demands,
The need or ever the want,
To have one consoled,
At the cost of the other's lost self.

I would never in my right senses,
Would ever ask that out of you.
For what love would it be,
If I ever could,
Ask you to not be you,
For the sake of keeping your image I want.

Be freed from this,
Go; live,
For it's your joy that matters,
Above anything else.
Go be happy, be your true,
Just remember me, while you be you.
