Drifting

Saks

The blue of the the sea and sky

Surrounded as far as the eye can see.

The ocean currents my only guide

Drifting along ores long gone

No longer know how long, I was forced off the ship

Supplies all but gone, only mere morsels remain

Every now and then what appears to be land appears

Playing my emotions and it simply disappears

The force of the sea, have ripped my raft apart.

I’m no longer drifting, treading water; I'm drowning.

The water is freezing. Predators circling; it feels comforting

I have solace in my fight so be it if my time has come

I read this poem a few times and I was impressed by it. It made me think of the time I almost drowned and had given up, expected to die. I felt no panic or fear. Then someone came to my rescue and pulled me from the water.
This is really a neat ,succint work. I will be looking for more by you.
