Strings attached

PurpleGlasses

If I take your hand

You'll tighten just your grip

I've lived this lie

I've been down this trip

Trip and trap

Tie me up like prey

Torture me living

Sell it to me as great

Make me join your fleet

Make me join YOUR fight

The victory is ours

But in defeat alone I cry

No consolidation

No support

No validation

No chance of rapport

Emotional turmoil

A means to an end

To try to ensalve me

NEVER again

Try to enchain me

I'll fend of every try

Your stupid excuses

I'll never buy

Fear my power

Fear my might

Try if you will

Try if you like

Alone I fight

Struggle and might

Not yet be ready

But know this

My will is clear

My course is steady
