Show me a blue sky any day
Show me a magenta sunset on the bay.
It's a grey dizzy darkness that occupies
Daily haze is chaotic and time flies.
The whirl of a meeting bumper bash
I'm spinning so fast avoiding a crash.
Behind that horizon a flicker of life
Grey fades to navy and orange alike.
What of the Springtime to melt muddy snow?
Bring joy to life and set things aglow.
My friends, allow this season to prune
It's not much longer til we tap a new tune.
Drift or drag in your blacks and dark grey
Cloakrooms eager to snatch coats away.
Don't bury your head in yonder gloom
Calm dizzy dancing as summer's abloom

- Comment from author about the poem: The pace of life amidst the backdrop of grey, winter skies. Staying afloat and avoiding the swim upstream. Accepting the ebb and flow and catching my breath as I find feet in a new rhythm called the mother\\\'s work juggle
