PRE-SENT

magzzbaby

It takes bravery to trust your own advice

Knowing that one day you’ll fall to rise

Is not a lot of times I get desperate

But in moments of need, I concentrate

What is love without me? What is life without you?

Let me love myself, let me keep this up

Don't rush me, don’t shush me, just treat me carefully

What can you say about the news?

Is it scary or are they on snooze?

Big times are coming, I can't keep up like this. I’m drowning.

I look ahead

Tumbling between the sun and your forehead

I want to stop, let my flow go numb, before that, I want to make sure you’ll stick around

I mean no disrespect, but what did you expect

Don’t send me Goodmorning texts if you’re going to leave me hanging

Don’t send me Goodnight texts if you’re out there banging

Tired of listening to whatever they say

Why can’t you see, in this life no one’s here to stay

I want to go back, live the old way

No stress, just me, the moon and the ocean

With a salt bath I purify

Under the light of the moon, I cry

Staring at the ocean talking to the mother of the night

I come clean to you, scared to let you in

Please tell me, I am all that you need

I don’t know how long I will be here

You hypnotized me with your smell, cashmere

Hold me tight and tell me dear

What is your most dangerous fear?

Cherry crisp when I walk in, when you hear it, you’ll know is me

Waves of sadness invading my space

Surfing them all, I win the race

I love the rain pouring down my skin

Feeling the cold and the ego of the wind

Nothing to fear, nothing to trade in

Just me, you and the realm in between.
