Earth (The Prison Planet)

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Remember working in my old office
I didn't scoff when someone told me this
Earth is a prison planet
All I'll ask is who's planned it?
The Government?
The Rothschild's?
The Rockefeller's?
The families of wealth?
We a cog in the wheel
On the bottom shelf
We've been brainwashed in stealth
Don't worry about my mental health
I'm better than okay
It's a blessing to get these thoughts out
Rather than keep them at bay
You know it's the truth
It'll make some angry
You want proof?
Look at how people treated day to day

(add the Bilderberg group and keep on going...
still, at least I came to be
in a time when, if I choose it
    'they'
can't fuck with how I butter my toast
or sugar my tea and coffee
    grateful, am I
for this mirage of freedom, afforded to me
    by sheer evolutionary, timeline lottery
    a 'Tomorrow' is coming
when chips entwined with our warped mindsets
    will insure
even this, will be a long forgotten
    dream
    someday soon...)
    Happy New Year, dear Poet
    question it all, including
    yourself
    ('know thy self'
    to emancipate, ourselves
    free of those clutches, beyond
    our very capacity to glean
    those societal mirages and lies)
