Short or Long, Must be a Good Song

If a poem is too long,

Many may skip the song,

They aren't at all wrong,

As too much isn't strong!

Time available is limited,

For a duty all are committed,

So, long songs are omitted,

Reading isn't permitted!

Still certain songs that we read,

That are extremely long indeed,

May set right our wrong deed,

By supplying what we need!

So, we can't hastily generalize,

To skip long songs that are nice,

Any good song, we must praise,

If it creates among all proper ties!

Write a song with great interest,

Like a bird building its safe nest,

Be clear, dexterous and honest,

To supply a song to be the best!
