Human

moonhoney

mistakes happen
they are part of me

mistakes are scars
like meteor craters they mark on me
mistakes burn
like a star, bright and hot, they live and die in me
mistakes define
like a constellation they connect my soul for me

mistakes hurt
but they also make me stronger
until I'm the person I want to be
I will hurt a little longer

  • Comment from author about the poem: I don't believe that mistakes define a human but rather how you deal with those mistakes and what type of lessons you learn from them. mistakes have to be made and they have to be reflected on in order to grow

Very well written! Yes, making mistakes hurts and often you only focus on having made them, while the most important thing is how you deal with and what you learn from them
