Break

EllaBrady98

You will never understand what I've done
Just to keep air in my lungs
The ways I've had to keep my head straight
Focusing my energy on finding the root of your hate

My chest tightens as I enter a room
In a point where being okay sounds like a myth
Something read of in a fairy tale
Down another day and see if anythings new

Running on empty, giving more than I had
Second guessing every chance
Ungodly afraid to speak my thoughts
Shoving them down until they rot

The world I knew has crumbled
No choice but to make my own
A loving soul turned to stone
Mindful rage and defensiveness, employed
