Deciding Date

Addy

Deciding Date

Deep in the shadowed night

A blanket of fire and spite

A bed of fury and hate

This evil cannot abate

Up above the raven crows

A tingling in your spine up to your toes

The moon bathed in red

Air filled with the smell of the dead

Hollow eyes, sunken corpse

In a world full of broken hopes

Can you hear the crackling fire?

For evil shall never tire

Will the world do what’s right

Will we be led into the light

Or will triumph be for hate

What will be the deciding date?
