When Spirit Speaks

Simply Marie

In the way his spirit spoke to mine

would never leave my mind

A thing brand new so unusual

this doesn't happen all the time

There are glimpses of this kind of thing

I've seen it maybe once or twice

But never would I think to have

the same relating in these ways so nice

And then one day it happened when

I first would hear his voice

My mind intrigued igniting something inside of me striving for its voice

It says I must respond to what's profound

I really have no other choice

I'll leave a note maybe as a joke

he wouldn't respond to anyway

And when he did my mind would bend

to understand just what this is

The way he gets inside of me seemingly

he doesn't even need to try

When we speak somehow it reaches

parts of me unknown til now

How it scared me then i could not

pretend to be unaffected by his charm

Unexpected catch reeled from the sea neither one knew who caught who

I still don't know can't find the words to give justice to this thing

It's just become a thing now that somehow keeps surviving challenging trials

I am still impressed with the way it brings the best of me right up to the surface

A fresh breath of air I wouldn't dare

allow anything to harm this

All I want to do is follow through

while our spirits breed redemption

Still theres much unknown all I can do now continue allowing undeterred unfoldment

When we continually choose to see

this through beyond the egos greed

There so much revealed when hearts

arent steeled against another's influence

Somehow I've grown beyond the angst

to precious pieces of discerment

And as for the parts of me his spirit helps for me to see forever I will be grateful
