Self

Etheral_Blue

You can lie to others
Can't lie to thyself
Watch yourself wither
Watch it all well

They asked, "why are you so quiet?"
"Why do you look so involved in a riot?"
"I feel known here" I whispered
They didn't hear me, they enquired
I replied, "I feel nice in my world inside."
They said "What about the world outside?"
"It's irritating" I said
"It's confusing" I said

“Happiness finds people”
Well sadness does too
It trails you down into the abyss
Though it makes you cognize that your friend is you

“There’s a light at end of every tunnel”
I hope it’s train
Which wraps me with death
Away from the constant pain

Loneliness is the blight man was born for
It’s the attention from others they mourn for
Why they don’t understand?
That they know themselves no more

I do lie to others
But not to myself
I can watch myself wither
Get known to no one else
