I appreciate the way we talk 

how you always ask me questions

 

It's so much better for our situation than 

to assume presumptive insinuations 

 

The way those things may hinder 

kinder ways of relating to eachother

 

A breath of fresh air for my mind communicating in ways that matter

 

It eases sometimes when discomfort arises that my train of thought is lost

 

The way your executed well sentiment means well never is it forced

 

It progresses on the way a better way to play with important words we need to say

 

Which is just another part of what I love about the way we touch each other's soul 

 

Of all the years I've known finding words that bring me home to my own authenticity

 

It's the words I share with you that reach a part of me that I've never known before

 

A thing I couldn't leave again to stay behind and grieve what might have always been 

 

It's still alive today this thing won't go away it was always meant to stay alive inside of us this way
