When do you laugh until you cry?

differ

When do you laugh until you cry?

And when assume a somber tone?

When to be silent as a stone?

And when vehemently to pry?

When is it brave to be loving and kind

With gracious smile and gentle word?

And when consumed by anger blind

You're seen as strong and not absurd?

When is it smart to bare your throat

Under somebody’s judgement’s blade

Near absent fear that they will gloat

Without amends too late be made?

When is it right to put up walls?

When every word feels like a lance

Don soul in full plate Russian dolls?

Say no and not give second chance?

When do you speak and not be rude

And not risk being misconstrued

Your truth in pieces, raw and nude
