These Bright Lights Blind Me

skwipwrites

Lights so bright they blind me.

Lights so dim they bind me

Street lights are buzzing

while i lay here thinking about you dazzling.

these lights are a burden

wish i could cover them with a curtain

all these lights on me,

yet all i want is the comfort of darkness on me

darkness that will bring sleep

sleep which i fathom will be deep

a sleep with no more lights a final type of sleep, a final cycle.

You specifically may not be the root

but you could be the pot where i could grow or the weed killer, which brings peace
